Kokorosoft was founded by Óscar Ramírez after seven years at RavenPack, from developer to web development manager, his time at Revolut and leading technology at product companies. He is the author of Python a Fondo (Marcombo), the creator of ElPythonista, and has taught at EOI and Harbour.Space.

What does Kokorosoft do?

We are a software development consultancy. We modernise platforms that have fallen behind, lead technology for companies without a CTO, run technical audits and build web products and mobile apps.

How much does it cost to work with you?

The technical audit costs €1,800, fixed price. Fractional CTO work starts at €2,500/month for 16 hours a month. Modernisation and development are quoted per project, from €8,000: the calculator gives a tentative budget in a minute, and the fixed price of each phase is set with the written scope.

How long does a project take?

The audit takes two weeks. For modernisation and development we do not give a date before we know the scope: the calculator gives an estimated time, the schedule is set with the written scope and reviewed at every delivery.

Do I need to know about technology to work with you?

No. We write for the person who decides, not the person who codes: every problem with what it costs in euros, and every proposal with what it includes and what it does not.

Which technologies do you work with?

Python, TypeScript, .NET, Flutter and native iOS and Android apps; PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift and NoSQL databases; AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or your own servers. We choose by the problem and by who will maintain it afterwards.

How is a project paid for?

In phases. The scope is split into deliveries, each with its own fixed price: part is paid when it starts and the rest when you accept it. You can stop at the end of any phase and owe nothing for the ones that have not started.

Who owns the code?

You do, at no extra cost. The code we write for you is in your repositories from day one, and its rights are assigned to you as each phase is paid. What was already ours (tools and generic components) stays ours, with a licence for you to use it with no time limit. With documentation and a handover session, you can carry on without us.

How do we start?

In writing. You tell us the situation in the form or the calculator and, if you like, attach documentation, screenshots or another vendor's quote. We read it and reply within two working days; if we can help, we pin it down in a free thirty-minute call.
